I have finally arrived.
It has taken me literally 10 years to get to this moment in my life. Two degrees later, a husband, kids. This journey was by no means EASY.
I consider myself a late bloomer in some respects. Growing up, I wasn't interested in dating. I wasn't trying to have kids ASAP because - let me admit - I didn't know if I wanted kids, let alone to be married one day. I was fine being the potential aunt with pitbulls (I'm not a cat lady, no offense to the kitty lovers).
I found out I was accepted to the RN program in December 2019. I was soo excited! My dreams were finally coming full circle! I was so thankful for everything--the opportunity, a loving boyfriend (who is now my awesome hubby and bff), a supportive family! Everything was wonderful! All of the trips I was planning because I loved to travel. Trying to work weekends as an LPN so I can still have some money. But riiiiiight before I was set to start school,
I found out on a Sunday that I was pregnant. PREGNANT. PREGA-NIT. Nawl nie, not me! I got accepted into the BSN program two weeks prior and now I start school with a--a--.
ME?! PREGNANT! *gasps*.
Life is hard man. However, with the right mindset, you can achieve whatever you desire.
Want to know how I managed being a full-time student, parent and still trying to work? Stay tuned!
